Chai Spice Mix
You can put 1 – 2 teaspoons of this mix in a strainer and use in place of a tea bag. The cup of chai is quicker to make but just as soothing as making it on the stove the traditional way!

- 1 ½ Cup Loose Leaf Black Tea
- 1 Star Anise
- 7 Green Cardamom Pods
- 4 Cloves
- 1 inch Cinnamon Stick
- ½ tsp Fennel Seeds
- 1 - 2 tsp Ginger powder
Using a mortar and pestle separately crush the cardamom, cloves, star anise, fennel seeds and cinnamon until each ingredient is a mixture of pieces and powder.
Mix all of the ingredients together and store in an airtight jar or container.
